Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods but I haven't really been "feeling" spring colours or sun loving holos yet so this is the perfect in between mani for a bit of fun.
Obviously I have started with a black base which is American Apparel Hassid. If your're not wanting to splash out on Illamasqua Boosh, AA Hassid is just as good in my opinion. Just be careful with the long drippy brush. Anyway the all important bit, the dots are a mixture of Jade Mystic Gold &Vermelho Surreal, Terrific Teal Franken, OPI DS Exclusive & Nubar Reclaim.

Shimmer Polish Rochelle & Wendy
Happy Sunday people, hopefully you have had (or having) a good one! Another couple of Shimmer Polish swatches to show you today. I'm totally loving the effect these glitters have at one coat over a base colour.
Rochelle red and gold glitter with a hint of copper. One coat over Chemistry/Ozotic 258
Wendy copper, blue & purple glitter. One coat over OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest
Shimmer Polish can be found here on Etsy

Pretty Serious Elliot and Claris
The start of September saw the second release from Pretty Serious called In The Night. What I have worn so far from this collection has been stellar quality and colours much like the first collection titled Hello World.
Today I have Elliot and Claris to show, these two were slightly thicker formula compared to Into Dreams and Nightmaren but in absolutely no way was application problematic, actually even though slightly thicker the polish still seemed to go exactly where I wanted it! Pictured at three coats with average drying time.
Elliot medium blue with tiny silver flakes.
Claris a spectacular shade of medium pink with golden flakes.
What I love about these two is the perfect pairing of opposites, blue vs pink & silver vs gold. Are you planning a Pretty Serious purchase?

China Glaze Glass Flecks - Part One
As the title of the post suggests I have decided to do a couple of posts about China Glaze glass flecked polishes. For part one I have a few older ones with the white label on the bottom and tomorrow I will show a few newer ones that have the black labels.
Most of the China Glaze glass fleck polishes are a bit on the runny side so thin coats are needed and unless you use some knickers you will have some visible nail line. All are pictured at three thin coats and in the shade because my camera freaks out on the sparkly in the sun.
Martini Pedicure light blue with silver flecks
It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere magenta with ?pink/purple glass flecks (I can't tell)
Shaken Not Stirred a pinkish purple with silver glass flecks

Shimmer Polish Nichole and Natalie
Shimmer Polish is an indie polish brand that I recently discovered on etsy, I really like how all these polishes have a persons name and the maker behind Shimmer Polish also does custom polishes which is how I first stumbled upon this brand (more to come on that in a couple of weeks)
Nichole is predominately a mixture of red, blue and silver glitter with a very small amount of pink and holographic glitter. Pictured is two light coats over OPI Rinse Charming which is a silver foil
Natalie a mixture of blue, copper and turquoise glitter, this one is really beautiful at one coat over CND Urban Oasis a perfect dark teal colour
Shimmer Polish is available via their etsy store for $12 each + shipping, the followup customer service is fan-bloody-tastic and the polishes are really nice formula for glitters. No thinning required, no curling, bleeding or other problems noted.

NOTD catch up post
I know this blog repeatedly gets neglected, try as I might life just seems to keep geting in the way too often! Anywho today I will just catch you guys up with some polishes that I have worn lately.
Nicole OPI Great Minds Pink Alike pinkish coral with lots of pink & purple shimmer, this is one of those colours that I love in the botle but not on the nail
Chi Chi Don't Be A Hater (smaller bottle) light blue with silver micro glitter, this is new to Target along with a couple of other Chi Chi polishes
Chi Chi lol as you can see, in the bottle this one is a pinkish purple so more like a topcoat and this is one coat over black
China Glaze How About A Tumble I really like this strong kind of scattered holo, a pink that I didn't mind on me
Layla Ceramic Effects 52 pretty much a dead on dupe of Nfu Oh 51, if only they were the same numbers
Girly Bits Rogue this is my first Girly Bits polish and I am impressed

Estée Lauder Tempestuous & Nouveau Riche
So Estée Lauder is not a brand that I have lusted after until they very recently released some new awesome colours. I'm so glad they did bring out some really cool colours to put in them great heavy square bottles. Both polishes are pictured at three thin coats.
Tempestuous a blackened base with tiny pink and blue flakes, the colour mix kind of reminds me of Butter London The Black Knight except this is not a glitter.
Nouveau Riche a stunning gold coloured polish made up of tiny gold, pink & greenish flakes

Pretty Serious Into Dreams and Nightmaren
Kaz over at Pretty Serious Cosmetics and also the blogger behind Pretty Random brings us her new collection "In The Night" based on a video game that unfortunately I have no previous knowledge of to know how the names relate to the colours. What I do know is that the polishes I have seen of this collection are just as gorgeous as the first collection "Hello World"
Into Dreams
Kaz says... A vibrant purple with delicious pink shimmer.
My notes: definitely delish! super pigmented and flows onto the nail perfectly, when I first seen this I thought I might be able to find some Aussie dupes in my stash but I was wrong!
Nightmaren
Kaz says...A glowing, warm golden red
My notes: this one freaked my camera out in the sunlight so my pictures don't show off the full golden shimmer, not as pigmented as Into Dreams but still great coverage at 2 coats
In The Night collection now available at http://www.pretty-serious.com/ don't forget to check out the eyeshows and glosses while you are there!

Friendly Frankens
Once again my buddy over at Lavish Layerings helped me get some international polish goodies and when her parcel arrived to me I was surprised with some of her gorgeous frankens. These frankens are really something and even though Jenny will not be launching an indie line these are living in my indie draw because they are just as good better than lots of indie polishes currently on the market! Can you imagine what Jenny and Margie could create if they got together to produce an indie line?
The pretties...
Jafar's Jewel raspberry jelly, I don't know if they are glass flecks or flakies floating around in this polish but they are sparkly and pretty, much more than my pictures show.
Another Purple Shimmer purple shimmer lovers unite! A medium purple base with small flakies and ?micro holographic glitter. Glorious!!!
Noxious Nori a frankendupe of the discontinued Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed and it's pretty damn spot on.
